Teresa Tsui, MSc, ND

Teresa is a licensed Naturopathic doctor (ND) who completed a BSc(Hon) in Pharmacology (specialist) with Psychology (minor), and MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences (natural health product decision making) from the University of Toronto. After graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), she completed a Residency in Family and Community Naturopathic Medicine. She has continued additional training in: acupuncture, homeopathy, healthy breast care, mindfulness-based stress reduction, children’s health conditions, and sports medicine.

Treatment Philosophy and Approach

Teresa believes in empowering patients to discover the necessary tools to optimize their health in mind, body and spirit. In her practice, Teresa uses botanical medicine, acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition, homeopathy and lifestyle counseling to enable patients to achieve their health goals.

Background in Music

Prior to becoming an ND, Teresa had a background in piano performance (Performer’s certificate) - composing, conducting, and organizing concerts for musicians. Her musical training has enabled her to truly listen to her patients’ health concerns.

Rogers WOW TV (Cantonese channel) featured Teresa on their 13 episode Natural Remedies Show as one of the naturopathic doctor experts. Teresa was interviewed on naturopathic approaches on a range of health conditions.

Teaching and Research

Besides seeing patients in clinical practice, she is a part-time Lecturer at U of T and Faculty member in the Academic and Clinical Departments at the CCNM. She is an expert reviewer of the evidence-based website on complementary medicine Camline and contributes to community and professional publications.

Naturopathic Committee and Professional Membership

In her spare time, Teresa is actively involved in naturopathic committees. She is member of the Standards Committee of the regulatory board, the Board of Directors Drugless Therapy (Naturopathy), and a founding member of the International Chinese Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Teresa is a member of both the Canadian and the Ontario Associations of Naturopathic Doctors.
